sean
ADJECTIVE
old
The adjective sean behaves like a prefix when it modifies a noun attributively: an old house is always seanteach, never teach sean. However, when sean itself is modified by something, then it acts like a normal adjective: teach an-seana very old house, teach níos sinean older house. Also, when sean is being used predicatively, it is again a normal adjective: tá an teach seanthe house is old*.
